Indiana Roundup - March 28th
#1 Elkhart Central 13 Goshen 2 – An eight run third inning helped Elkhart pick up their first win of the year. Tanner Tully had a big day at the plate picking up three hits, two were homeruns, and driving in six runs. Tully also got the win on the mound striking out five. Cory Malcom and Riley Futterknecht closed out the game on the mound for Elkhart. Austin McArt double and drove in three runs and Casey Ianigro doubled and drove in two runs.
Boone Grove 5 #25 Hobart 4 – Dean Hill picked up the win throwing all seven innings. Trailing 4-1 in the sixth, but scored four runs in the frame to take the lead for good. Jake Wright led the offense doubling and driving in two runs. For Hobart Brandon Murray threw four innings allowing just one run and striking out seven.
Westview 6 Jimtown 5 - Westview scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to get the win. Damon Miller got the win allowing three hits, three unearned runs, and striking out seven in three innings. Jamar Weaver threw the first four innings allowing just three hits, one earned run, and striking out six. Tarring Beachy went 2-2 with a double and two runs scored. Kohle Christner doubled and drove in two runs.
Porage 10 Jefferson (TN) 0 – Tyler Kniola picked up the win throwing all six innings allowing just four hits and striking out five. Peter Psomadelis homered and drove in four runs, Kevin Jones went 3-3 with a RBI, and Christopher Klenk was 2-2 with a double.
Noblesville 10 Pike 0 - Noblesville used four pitchers to combine for a no hitter. Garrett Christman threw three innings striking out three and got the win, Drew McLochlin threw an inning, Will Plumer threw 2/3 of an inning striking out two, and Cory Conway got the last out of the game to preserve the no hitter. Zack St. Pierre went 1-2 at the plate hitting a three run homerun. Nick Miller drove in two runs and Christman and Luke Porter each scored twice.
River Forest 5 Westville 3 - Omar Nunez had a big day for River Forest. On the mound he picked up the win throwing five innings allowing just two runs. At the plate he went 3-4 with two RBI and a run scored. O’Shea Owens went 2-4 with two runs scored and Ryan Slavey went 2-4 with a run scored. For Westville Erice Quinn was 3-4 with two RBI and Chase Kourtis was 2-5 with two doubles.
Concord 7 Mishawaka 0 – Four pitchers combined to throw a two hitter giving Concord their first win of the year. Connor Slabach got the start and the win. Stephen Pinarski, Jake Stauffer, and Reece Misura also threw in the game for Concord. Concord scored in five of their six at bats, Duncan Boon homered and Nick DeFreese had a triple.
South Central 18 Marquette Catholic 0 – JT Snyder led the offense going 3-3 with a double and three RBI. Adam Clindaniel throw four innings to get the win allowing just one hit and striking out six.
New Prairie 3 LaPorte 2 F/8 – Chayse Davis got the no decision for New Prairie after throwing the first seven innings. Noah Shail came in in the 8th to get the win.
Hammond Morton 8 Highland 3 – Morton scored seven runs in the fifth to help them get the win. Aurelio Cazares picked up a complete game win allowing four hits and striking out 11.
