Division I/Division II Ranked Teams
#1 Moeller beat Glen Este by a score of 13-3. Glen Este scored one run in the top of the first and Moeller answered with seven runs in the bottom of the first. Brad Macciocchi (Wright State recruit) doubled home one run and Ty Amann (Ohio University recruit) singled in two more in the inning. Jeff Ludwig (Rose-Hulman) hit a two run homerun in the sixth inning to end the scoring. Ryan LeFevers made his first varsity start and picked up the win throwing 5 innings allowing all 3 runs while walking just one and striking out three.
#2 Mason made short work defending state champion #8 Lakota East with a 13-1 victory.
#3 Defiance (1-0) picked up their first win of the season with a 4-0 victory over Delta. Louisville recruit Anthony Kidston threw a no hitter while striking out 14 batters.
#4 Pickerington Central dropped its second game in a loss to Hilliard Darby. Pickerington’s Zack Beaver went six and a third innings before coming out. While the Tigers carried a lead into the last inning, they weren’t able to hold it as they balked in the tieing and winning runs. Darby junior Chase Longwell pitched three and a third innings. At the plate, he went 2 for 3. Senior Cory Carter also contributed two hits.
#5 Centerville
#6 Strongsville defeats Normandy 10-0 in six innings. Seniors Austin Pritchard, Connor Ryan, and Kyle Toma combine for 1-hit shutout. Junior infielder Ben Szymczak collected two hits while senior shortstop Forrest Perron reached base three times and drove in three on a 3-run HR.
#7 Vandalia Butler (2-2) beat Piqua 4-0 behind a a complete game performance from senior right-handed pitcher Taylore Cherry (UNC recruit). Cherry threw a 1 hitter with 12 strikeouts.
#8 Lakota East see (#2 Mason)
#9 Grove City (3-0) picked up another win in a 3-0 defeat of Mount Vernon. Junior right-handed pitcher Drew Artrip picked up the win.
#10 Walsh Jesuit
#11 St. Ignatius (0-1) falls to #15 Massillon Jackson (1-0) by a score of 3-0. Jackson right-handed pitcher Michael Cooperider threw a complete game shutout, only giving up 2 hits while striking out 4 and walking 3. St. Ignatius junior-lefthanded pitcher Thomas Rolle allowed 3 runs and 4 hits while striking out 11 and walking 1.

#17 Jonathan Alder (1-1) rebounded from an opening day loss by beating Pleasant by a score of 11-1.

#19 Columbus DeSales (4-0) picked up another win with a 12-11 victory over Canal Winchester. Senior right-handed pitcher TJ Alas (Eastern Kentucky recruit) picked up the win while senior Brennan Schlabig contributed his first homerun of the season.

#25 Amherst (1-1) loses to Avon by a score of 6-5. Avon scores 4 in the bottom of 7th as Nick Lee gets the win. Matthew Wentz hit a walk-off single. Amherst’s Griffin Weir pitched four innings while allowing two earned runs in the loss. He sat 85-89 mph. At the plate, he went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI.

#9 Canton Central Catholic (1-0) beat Manchester (0-1). Canton Central Catholic's Todd Locke led off the game with a homerun. Tim Valentine scored in the 3rd on a double by sophomore Shawn Jones, who went 4 for 4 on the day. Tim Valentine scored again in the 6th on a Manchester error. Jake Bumgarner scored on a single by Chandler Stahl in the 6th. Brad Frohman picked up the win for CC while sophomore Evan Griffiths took the loss for Manchester.

#14 Tinora (2-0) defeated Antwerp (0-1) by a score of 11-0. Senior pitchers Nate Beck and Casey Liska combined for a 5 inning no hitter. Sophomore shortstop Derek Drewes was 2 for 2 with double and triple and 4 RBI. Sophomore catcher, Clay Pittman was 2 for 4 with a single and triple.

#18 Independence (2-1) beat Perry (0-1) by a score of 12-2 in a Chagrin Valley Conference crossover game. Junior J.P. Sorma led the way for Independence going 4 for 4 with a homerun and a double. Unsigned Senior Jake Solomon went 2 for 3 with 4 RBI off a 3-run homerun and a double. Junior Carey Artrip also added with a solo homerun.

Wauseon (2-0) picked up their second win of the season with a 12 to 1 victory over Pettisville. Sophomore Ty Suntken pitched four innings allowing one earned run and one hit. Jake Trejo and Clay Tefft each contribute two-run homeruns.
Springfield Shawnee (2-1) beat Beavercreek 3 to 2 in 8 innings. Junior Tyler Bostick pitched a complete game and got the win and had 0 earned runs. Junior Jordan Huggins was 3 for 4 and scored the winning run. Sophomore Evan Lyons was 3 for 4 with the game winning single in the bottom of the 8th inning.
Olentangy Orange (2-0) beat Fairfield Christian by a score of 11-1. Freshman right-handed pitcher Tyler Johnson picked up his first career varsity win while allowing 2 hits and striking out 4 batters over 4 innings of work.
Copley (1-0) beats Green (0-1) by a score of 6-3.
Parkway (2-0) beat Spencerville 15-0 behind the support of senior Riley Bransteter, who collected 3 hits, and junior Jordan Stephenson, who pitched a 5 inning, 3 hit shut out. Senior Tony Sargiovanni threw his first career no hitter going 5 innings while striking out 10 batters and walking 2. Senior Aaron Jackson contributed 4 RBI and senior Andy Auble collected 3 hits, including a triple.
Crestwood (2-0) beat Cardinal (0-2) by a score of 15-0. Senior Tony Sargiovanni pitched his first career no hitter while going 5 innings, striking out 5 batters, and walking 2. Senior Aaron Jackson contributed knocked in 4 RBI and senior Andy Auble collected 3 hits, including a triple.
Tallmadge (2-0) beat Wadsworth by a score of 9-3. The Tallmadge Blue Devils (1-0,1-0) opened the season with a road league win over Wadsworth (0-2, 0-1) on Tuesday 9-3. Kent State signee RHP Tucker Linder got the win going four innings allowing one run on five hits while striking out three. Nathan Jackson 2012 picked up the save working the final three innings. Senior Matt Shomo was 2 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI. Senior Danny Blake had two singles and junior Cordt Skraba had two singles and scored twice.
Waynesville (2-0) remains hot as they beat Dayton CJ by a score of 8-3. Victor Boggs was the winning pitcher going 5 innings while allowing 3 runs and striking out 4. Wyatt Myers went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI. Gade Abrams went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and Tyler Schrock went 2 for 3.
Bishop Ready beat Fisher Catholic beat 3-0. Junior Ross Etgen collected two hits, including a triple. Junior Mitch McNabb pitched a complete games while allowing 2 hits and striking out 11.
Niles beat Campbell by a score of 8-3. Niles sophmore Trent Culp pitched a complete game allowing 1 earned run. Juniors Jake Foster & Ryan Ifft each had 2 hits and Senior Pat Barrett had 3 hits. Ifft had 2 RBI. Sophmore Ty Wiery had a double along with Noah Arvin. Hofus & Clinkscale had 2 hits each for Campbell.
Hoban (1-0) beat Mentor Lake Catholic (1-1) by a score of 2-0. A well pitched and well played game by both teams. Hoban was able to take advantage on a couple mistakes Lake Catholic made in the 6th inning and make their 2 runs hold up. Senior Colin Shaub picked up the victory for Hoban.
Hudson (2-0) beat Valley Forge (0-1) in a 20-0 victory. Hudson collected 13 hits in route to a 20 - 0 win over Valley Forge in a NOC crossover game played at Valley Forge... Nate Andrasik struck out 7 in four innings to pick up the win and Ross McLelland collected 5 RBI's on the day with 2 singles and a sac fly.
Wapakoneta (4-0) beat Greenville (1-1) by a score of 7-2. Standout junior left-handed pitcher Johnny Crawford picked up the win after going 5 innings while scattering 4 hits and striking out 9 batters. Crawford, junior first baseman Brandon Miller, and junior outfielder Andrew Hines all provided key hits.
West Holmes beats Lexington by a score of 6-0. Sophmore pitcher Butch Baird pitched a complete game 1-hitter. Baird was in controll all game striking out 11 and while giving up one lone single in the 6th inning to sophmore Brody Basilone. Sophmore Zach Temple took the loss for Lexington.
Bethel (2-0) beat Russia by a score of 8-2. Junior right-handed pitcher Luke Veldman threw a complete game 2-hitter with 10 strikeouts and 2 walks.
Worthington Kilbourne beat Olentangy Lewis Center by a score of 4-1. Sophomore RHP Jacob Niggemeyer (OSU recruit) went the distance while allowing 3 hits and striking out 7.
Delaware Hayes beats Upper Arlington by a score of 6-5. Senior Jacob Bosiokovic (OSU recruit) had the pitching win in relief. He pitched the final 3 and 1/3 without allowing an earned run while striking out 5. Tyler Miller led the way on offense with 2 RBI.
Turpin (2-1) beat Bethel Tate (1-1) by a score of 5-3. Senior Sam Easley earned the win in relief. He pitched 4 and 1/3 innings while allowing 1 hit and striking out 8. Turpin Cather Bobby Humphries collected 2 hits, while 2nd baseman Derek Varner added 2 hits and a walk. Outfielder Ryan Milligan added to the margin of victory with a 2 out, 2 run single in the sixth.
Dublin Scioto beat Columbus Briggs by a score of 16-2. Senior Kris Simonton (Akron recruit) picked up his first win of the season.
Shekinah Christian (1-0) picked up where it left off last season by upending another big named school, Columbus Bishop Watterson (0-1).
Westerville Central (3-0) picked up their third win of the season in Myrtle Beach with an 8-2 victory of Friends Central (PA).
North Royalton (1-0) beat Cuyahoga Falls by a score of 9-3.
Medina (1-0) beat Lakewood by a score of 6-3. Junior right-handed Cory Teachout picked up his first win of the season.
Brunswick (1-0) picked up it's first victory of the season against Twinsburg with a 9-0 victory. Brandon Kutrubs went the distance while striking out 3.
Avon Lake beat North Ridgeville by a score of 22-3. Adam Schultz was 3 for 4 with a triple and 4 RBI. Sophomore catcher Bradley Hamilton was 3 for 4 with 5 RBI and a double. Senior Alex Dillon was 2 for 3 with a triple and 4 RBI.
Elyria Catholic (2-0) beat Westlake by a score of 12-10.
Kentston (2-0) beat University School by a score of 11-1.
Loveland took down Kings by a score of 12-8.
Troy beat Carroll in a close 3-2 game.
Toledo St. John's (1-0) beat Ottawa Hills (0-1) by a score of 7-2. Jesse Adams (Boston College Commit) pitched 4 innings of 2 hit ball with 8 strikeouts. University of Toledo Commit Nate Pearson was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 intentional BB's. Junior catcher Corey Tipton threw out 3 runners stealing.
Fairmont beat Bellbrook by a score of 8-2. Jaryd Murphy was 2 for 3 and Ryan Barnette (Capital commit) was 2 for 4 with a RBI.
