Another cold and blustery evening across the Commonwealth last evening didn't stop a few very cold early season games from being played. Here is a look at the scores from Wed, March 12 along with some highlights of the action.

South Laurel 7 Powell County 0 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark
Freshman Braden Miller picked up the win on the mound. Senior Austin Moore had 3 hits and sophomore Joe Gaines added 2 in the victory.
Elliott County 7 Menifee County 2 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark
Junior Dominic Thompson racked up 20 strikeouts while surrendering just 3 hits in the victory. Sophomore Kane Whitley went 4-4, junior Jake Vanover 3-4, and sophomore Isaiah Griffith 3-4 to lead the offensive attack for the Lions.
Atherton 6 Doss 1
Sophomore Michael Vittitoe picked up the win with a complete game 2-hitter and racked up 8 strikeouts along the way. Sophomores Brady Schmidt and Neil Denicola each had 2 RBI's to pace the Rebels offense.
Eastern 13 Southern 1
Junior Chris Davis picked up the win on the mound. Davis also belted a triple, as did senior Michael Cunningham to lead the offensive attack.
Male 18 Iroquois 0
The Bulldogs recorded their second shutout in as many nights. Top offensive performers included junior Spencer Jackson 2-4, 2 RBI, senior Chris Allen 3-3, 2 RBI, junior Heath Brownley 3 RBI, junior Tyler Capito 3 RBI, senior Sam Boswell 2-2, 2B, and junior Anthony Piccolo 2-2.
Owensoboro Catholic 11 Breckinridge County 0
Louisville recruit Mason Richardson picked up the win with a complete game 3-hit shutout, recording 5 strikeouts. Sophomore Stephen Thompson paced the offense going 2-2 with a double, 2 RBI, and 3 runs scored.
