Taking into consideration the winter season, events such as the Winter Open and the Preseason All-State, and games scouted here in the early spring; we have updated the Minnesota 2018 rankings once again.

Over that time we have seen a number of guys make jumps and plenty of new prospects who made a name for themselves. It has caused a good amount of reshuffling and allowed us to expand the rankings from 80-to-125 players in the 2018 class.

Holding firm at the #1 spot is Missouri commit, Seth Halvorsen, an athletic 2-way player who exploded onto the prospect map with his performance at the 2016 PBR Future Games. Halvorsen is a lean built player with an athletic frame and wiry strength. Halvorsen ran a 6.95 60, was 92 mph across the infield, and recorded an 97 mph exit velocity. On the mound; his fastball shows life, on downhill plane, and jumps on hitter at 88-91 mph. He also flashes a sharp 1/7 breaking ball with tight spin at 77-78 mph.
