It is officially rankings week again, and our staff continues the updates with a look at our MD/DE Class of 2025. As we remain at the Top 150 in the class, we do see a few players who have made considerable jumps this spring and summer. We continue the week by taking a look at a few players who are certainly trending up and rise in this new update.
Risers
Joseph Nottingham RHP / 1B / Loyola Blakefield, MD / 2025A breakout performance at this years PBR Future Games sees the righty rise considerably in this newest update, solidifying him as the top uncommitted arm in the class. An easy operation on the bump sees the fastball sit in the low 90's that will tick into the 93/94 range, playing well off the curveball/slider mix that showcases a consistent ability to create whiffs in the zone. Smooth, explosive and repeatable actions out of an ultra-projectable 6-foot-5, 190 pound frame.

Jordan Regulski RHP / SS / Colonel Richardson, MD / 2025Another 2023 PBR Future Games alum, the 6-foot-3, 160 pound righty has had arguable the most eye-opening and impactful Spring/Summer in the class. Easy intent and feel for the zone has been evident all summer, mixing a three pitch arsenal for strikes at will with the fastball continuing to tick up into the low 90's. Love the ability to show ride on the fastball in the zone, reaching upwards of 20 inches of carry. The breaker averages 15-20 inches of sweep with sharp 11/5 shape that induces whiffs and weak contact both in and out of the zone. A developing changeup keeps hitters off balance and certainly shows the makeup to be above average at the next level.

Jase Mitchell C / 3B / Cape Henlopen , MD / 2025Left-handed hitting catcher with a high contact rate and untapped power potential; just a few notes on what makes the recent University of Kentucky recruit so special. It's a long, strong 6-foot-2 frame with plenty of room to still fill out, showcasing the ability to backspin line drives to both gaps with plate coverage to both sides. Quick, explosive hands that stay level through contact plays into the high contact rate, and with more strength and maturity to the body should see the power number skyrocket in the near future. Quick feet, fluid actions and an accurate arm behind the dish bodes well for the ability to stay behind the plate at the next level, while also showcasing versatility as a first base or corner outfield option.
|
Drew Rybinski C / 1B / Mount St. Joseph, MD / 2025One of the more explosive athletes in the class, the 6-foot-3, 205 pound backstop has found his home, committing to Georgetown University earlier this month. A hard nosed, high motor power threat who continues to advance the skillset in all facets. An impressive showing at our 2023 MD Top Prospect Games, Rybinski continued to showcase the advanced strength and power potential with high intent defensive actions.
|
Patrick Colbert OF / OF / Georgetown Prep, MD / 2025A player that continues to rise in the MD/DE 2025 class, the wiry 5-foot-9, 165 pound outfielder impacts the game in multiple facets, including some of the top speed not only in the class, but the entire state as a whole. A sub 6.60 speed, Colbert is a menace on the bases that impacts defensively as well, showcasing the ability to cover the alleys with plus arm strength (89 mph). It's a contact bat with line drive tendencies that certainly allows the plus speed to work at an advantage.
