Over the next few weeks, our staff will periodically dive into each of our recently updated rankings and spotlight key players in each class. Today, we take a look at a wiry, athletic, uncommitted RHP out of Walter Johnson High School.  

 

Jay Wandell continues to climb the rankings, this time finding himself rise inside the Top 30. Working out of a tough three-quarter slot, the arm works quick and showcases whip through release. Pounds the zone with confidence and efficiency, consistently showcasing hard arm side run on the fastball that boars in on RHH. The curveball is thrown with confidence with sharp 11/5 shape that plays tight. Mixes speeds, attacks hitters, and is extremely athletic down the bump.
