Close to 50 players from Maryland and Virginia participated in this year's MD Top Prospect Games at the beautiful Joe Cannon Stadium. Players were put through a pro-style workout and played one simulated game in front of our PBR Mid-Atlantic staff.
Throughout the next week or so, our staff will highlight key performers and top uncommitted players that showcased well at this year's MD Top Prospect Games.
2025 C Drew Rybinski (Mount St. Joseph)
Drew Rybinski C / 1B / Mount St. Joseph, MD / 2025Possessing a physical 6-foot-3, 205 pound frame, Rybinski has certainly put his name in the conversation as one of the top uncommitted backstops across the state, and a big showing at the MD Top Prospect Games only propelled his stock. It's an explosive operation at the dish with plenty of pop generated to the pull side with quick hands and some whip in the barrel (74.3 Max Bat Speed and 71.4 Average Bat Speed per Blast Motion). As barrel awareness continues to rise and clean up, look for power numbers to sky-rocket in the near future. Defensively, the actions are quick with consistent clean transfers that produce accurate throws and carry to the bag, putting out 1.93-2.02 pop times at the event.
