Scouting Report
MD Top Prospect Games 6.19.18
Big, solid 6-foot-1, 195 pound frame. Hits from an athletic, balanced, open stance. Uses a big leg kick and some hand/bat movement in load for rhythm and timing. Gets nice separation and has an explosive lower half. Quick hands, fast bat speed, and stays behind the ball well. Short uphill swing path with an exit velo of 90 mph. Gap-to-gap type hitter with present pull side power. Attacks the ball in the outfield and plays through it. Shorter arm actions and throws from a low three-quarters slot at 81 mph from the outfield and 76 form the infield. Ball has good carry on it from the outfield. Athletic set up in the infield and good hands. Does a nice job with his footwork around the bag and turning the double play. Has a tendency to pat his glove during exchange. Ran a 4.26 home-to-first.
2.12.17 - Nardi has a projectable 6-foot, 180-pound frame. He runs a 7.18 60-yard dash. He hits from an open stance with a high knee lift. Quick hands with some bat speed and pop to pull side with more power potential. His exit velocity is 89. Around the bag he shows athleticism and good hands. He is 72 across the infield. A very interesting 2019 prospect at the plate and should increase that as he continues to develop. As he continues to improve his arm strength looks like would be a nice outfield/first base combo.
