Kentucky Player of the Week: Wayne County OF Tanner Bell

Wayne County outfielder Tanner Bell was instrumental in leading the Cardinals to a 4-2 record last week.
Hitting in the lead-off spot, the junior put on an offensive show, going 13-for-21 with four doubles, two home runs, 7 RBI, and scored 12 runs. As if that weren’t enough, Bell also recorded a win on the mound by tossing four innings of one-run baseball while striking out four in the process.
Bell’s performance landed him as one of the finalists for this week’s Player of the Week honor. We took to twitter to allow the fans to select the winner from the finalists selected. Voting ended at 8:00 PM last night, and here are the final results.
Tanner Bell, OF, Wayne County HS, 2015 – 156 votes
Andrew Kirkland, 3B, John Hardin HS, 2014 – 126 votes
Jordon Adell, RHP/OF, Ballard HS, 2017 – 60 votes
Logan Mallory, RHP/1B, North Laurel HS, 2015 – 38 votes
All four players had outstanding performances for their teams last week, and the fans have spoken.
For his performance on the field, Tanner Bell has been selected as this week’s Prep Baseball Report Kentucky Player of the Week.
