Junior Spotlight - North Penn OF Mason Nadeau

Philadelphia Region Director of Scouting
A stellar start to North Penn outfielder Mason Nadeau's sophomore campaign came to a screeching halt when he injured his shoulder in mid-April diving back to first base and missed the remainder of the season. Through eight games, the left-handed hitter was batting .500 (10-20) with two doubles, one triple, four stolen bases, and nine walks against four strikeouts.
PBR happened to catch a glimpse of Nadeau prior to his injury, in a game that accentuated his primary offensive tools. The speedster ran 4.12 and 4.16 home-to-1B times, while also working two walks. In addition, he appeared to have made an adjustment from the times we previously saw him, exhibiting a swing path that was better suited to minimize lazy fly balls and allow him to use his wheels more often.
Healthy again heading into the spring, Nadeau should quickly reestablish himself as a fixture in the Knights line-up and a sparkplug for the offense.
