Sweet-swinging Cedar Cliff outfielder Julian Bury left quite an impression at the 2014 PA Underclass Games last June, barreling everything over the course of the two-day event, while also showing the ability to bunt for a base hit. Standing at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, the left-handed hitter has solid tools across the board, including an 84-mph arm and 84-mph exit velocity.
Playing for Team Pennsylvania at the Big 26 Classic the following month, Bury continued to showcase a smooth stroke with good pre-swing rhythm and the ability to keep his head still throughout his swing and stay inside the baseball. He moved well in the outfield and ran a 6.96 60-yard dash.
As a sophomore, Bury hit .293 with a .376 on-base percentage (six hit-by-pitches, five walks vs eight strikeouts) a .427 slugging percentage (including five triples), and 13 stolen bases in 15 attempts for the District III tournament champion Colts.
