Junior Future Games Q&A: Linden Reaburn

Brett Thorney
State Scouting Director

Today, we caught up with Linden Reaburn and his father, Chris. They answered some questions for us below about their Junior Future Games experience as part of Team Arizona in 2019.

PBR Arizona will be selecting some of the top 2024 & 2025 grads to represent Team Arizona in the 2020 Junior Future Games at the LakePoint Sports facility in Emerson, GA. The 7th Annual Invitation-Only event will feature the best identified prospects from across the PBR Coverage Area in a five-day event. Participants will be given the unique opportunity of competing against other top-level players while representing their respective state in a high-level atmosphere.

This event will run in conjunction with the PBR Future Games. The Future Games features the top uncommitted players in the Class of 2022 and 2023 from across the Prep Baseball Report’s 35+ state coverage area. It is one of the most highly recruited events of the summer and attracts more than 300 college coaches from across the country each year.

This one-of-a-kind event will include individual workouts and a 4-game guarantee with single elimination bracket play to determine a champion in each age group.

Large 5’10” 180lbs build, proportionally strong. Continues to be an intriguing younger pitcher to keep an eye on. Pitches with over-top arm action & more intent driven approach. Sat 82-83mph with his high spin FB. 12/6 CV at 67-69mph shows glimpses of being above average. Mixed in three pitches that were thrown for strikes. Quieter day than normal from positional side. Hits from square upright stance with small leg lift. Some rawness to upper body dominant swing. Uses pure strength to generate contact. Fields ball with two hands in OF, arm plays when he gets momentum going to target. Ran a 7.35 60 yard dash. Overall, he has an above average arm for the age group that should continue to be followed.

Might have arguably had one the best performances of the day for AZBC. Facing a loaded Trosky team, Reaburn struck-out 11 batters while not allowing a run & only walking 2 batters. Reaburn displays a power arm from a large more physical build. FB sat 80-83MPH throughout night. Creates intent with every throw. He wasn't afraid to attack hitters inside. CV shows chance to be a swing & miss pitch. Was also able to command off-speed. He also showed an aggressive demeanor which was appreciated. He was also a standout in the PBR Junior Future Games in GA this past summer.
