Junior Future Games | Game 1 vs. Canada

Today, we opened up against Team Canada with 2026 LHP, Kane Barber, taking the mound for Team Nevada. He threw three scoreless innings, striking out two in the process while locating each of his three pitches in the zone for strikes throughout his outing.
The Nevada bats were quiet for the most part making loud contact, but having nothing to show for it as we fell behind 4-0, until the bottom of the 7th when 2026 OF/LHP, Gio Telfer, led off the inning with a double to right-centerfield. He was followed by an RBI single down the left field line from 2026 IF/RHP, Macen Collura, to help cut into the Canada lead. 2026 C, Dane Keener, turned on a fastball for a single to right field to add to the Nevada total and cut the lead in half. A pair of hard hit balls right at the Canadian defenders from 2026 OF/LHP’s, Rocky Gordon and Cayden Rodgers-Ramirez ended the late comeback attempt.
Next up, Team Nevada takes on Mid-Atlantic tomorrow at 9:30 PM EST (6:30) PST.
