In 9 innings Sioux City West beat MVAO by a score of 3-2. 2015 Tanner Wauhob struck out 15 batters in a complete game effort.
Moravia 18 Montezuma 0
Briar Cochran and Tucker Babbit each had 3 hits and Jake Martin, Griffin Cosgrove, Mateo Varese and Hunter Arbogast had 2 RBI's apiece as Moravia beat Montezuma 18-0. Mateo Varese and Tyler Knapp combined to limit Montezuma to 1 hit. Mateo went 3 innings scattering 6 walks and picking up 7 strikeouts.
Waterloo Columbus 3 Waterloo East 1
Waterloo Columbus scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th to beat East 3-1. Greg Glass was 3-3 with a run scored and an RBI and Lucas Benda picked up 2 RBI's. Glass also went 5.2 innings on the mound allowing 1 hit, 1 run, 3 walks and 9 strikeouts. Henry Walters picked up the save throwing 1.1 innings of hit-less relief with 3 strikeouts.
Marion 8 Linn-Mar 6
Maverick Miller, John Carstenson and David Kuhn each had 2 hits in the victory. Carstenson and Kuhn had 2 RBI's as well. For Linn-Mar Adam Stolley, Adam Bradley and Scott Mortensen had 2 hits. Picking up the win was David Kuhn and losing pitcher was Ryan Wyant.
Iowa City 3 Davenport West 1
Travis Reyhons and Riley Regennitter each had 2 hits lead Iowa City past Davenport West. Dylan Mertens kept West at bay; going 5 innings allowing 4 hits, 1 run, 0 walks and 2 strikeouts. Dominic Whitlow and Jacob Dykes each pitched an inning of relief allowing 0 hits.
Davenport West 3 Iowa City 1
West turned the tables and beat Iowa City 3-1. Max Bigalk was outstanding on the mound for West going 7 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 run, 0 earned with a walk and 5 strikeouts. Iowa City's Riley Regennitter picked up the loss despite only allowing 2 earned runs and punching out 11 batters.
