July 10, 2017
Kurtis Reid, SS, Hamilton, 2021
PBR: Why did you choose Louisville?
Reid: Louisville was one of my dream schools. It is an historic program and it is close enough to home that my family can come watch me play. They also put a big emphasis on the academic part of the college experience.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Reid: I had a list of five dream schools. Louisville was on that list so it's like a dream come true.
PBR: Where did Louisville first see you compete?
Reid: I am not sure of the first time but I do know they were at the Top Prospect games and a few other games as well. They said it has been in the making for close to a year.
PBR: Was the recruiting process what you expected?
Reid: My visit to Louisville was everything I expected and then some.
PBR: You are going into high school this fall, how important was it to make you college decision so early? Are you finished with the recruiting process?
Reid: I don't know how important it is to commit so early but Louisville felt like home to me and that is where my heart is.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Reid: I would say my Dad. He has been around baseball his entire life and he has helped me along the way to strive to get better. Also, I must mention my Mom because she is my biggest fan.
Reid: Cincinnati Spikes. My most memorable moment is beating Five Star Baseball out of Georgia in the Lake Point Memorial Day Tournament.
PBR: Who is the best hitter that you have ever faced?
Reid: I have faced a number of good hitters over the last couple of years but I cannot recall specific names.
