Inside the Recruitment: '16 OF Keegan Snowbarger commits to Baldwin Wallace
March 11, 2016
Keegan Snowbarger, OF, St. Xavier, Class of 2016
Snowbarger: The reputation of their baseball program as well as the academics were strong factors of course, but the relationship I built with Coach Harrison and Coach DeAnglis during the recruiting process is what really sold me. We talked a lot over the past few months and I got a feel for their coaching philosophy and the direction the program is continuing to go towards, I wanted to be a part of that.
Snowbarger: Capital, Transylvania, Shenandoah, Case Western Reserve
Snowbarger: They were very involved and making sure I understood how much they wanted me to come to BW. Weekly phone calls and texts to see how things were going and talking about what they were doing in preparation for the season allowed me to get an idea of what I could expect next year if I decided to come there.
Snowbarger: At the PBR event at Kent State last summer.
Snowbarger: Its exciting for sure, to know you’re going to a program that competes at a high level every year makes you want to work harder to maintain that tradition.
Snowbarger: Hitting is my top strength, followed closely by arm strength and accuracy.
Snowbarger: Kentucky Baseball Club out of Lexington. Summer is just around the corner so hoping for plenty of memorable moments.
Snowbarger: My dad. We would go to the park and hit countless buckets of balls and just work on stuff over and over. He also pushed me to do more and more whether it was hitting or lifting. He pretty much taught me everything I know as well so it was great to have him so involved with me and the game. Thanks to him I'm the ball player I am today.
Snowbarger: Nothing for Spring, In the Fall I hit just over .500.
