PBR: Why did you choose Western Michigan?
DeVine: I chose Western Michigan because I have a great relationship with the coaches, and I believe they can help me reach my ultimate goal. Also because of the facilities and the distance from home.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
DeVine: Michigan State, Central Michigan, Oakland.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?
DeVine: At the Top Prospect Games at EMU this past summer.
PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.
DeVine: I play for the HBF Maroons and the most memorable moment was at a tournament in Nashville where we had a huge comeback in the bottom of the 7th to win in an elimination round.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?
DeVine: I didn't really have many expectations but I had heard that it was a long process.
PBR: What were your stats last spring season?
DeVine: 103 total chances with a .963FPCT. At the plate I hit .339 with a .414OBP.
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced?
DeVine: Caleb Scoles from Gull Lake High School or Sam Benschoter from Tecumseh.
