Indiana Recruiting Notebook

Five more prospects from Indiana have picked their schools.

Chase Allen, RHP, Vincennes Rivet HS, 2014: Allen, ranked No. 121 in Indiana's class of 2014 rankings, committed to Olney Central.  Allen attended the Underclass Showcase at Indiana Wesleyan University in the winter of 2013.  Last season he helped lead Rivet to the Class A State Championship Game.

Matt Desomer, RHP/OF, Andrean HS, 2014: Desomer is ranked No. 30 in the 2014 class and was member of Team Indiana at the 2012 Midwest Future Games.  Desomer, however, committed to play football at Southern Illinois University earlier this month.   

Matthieu Meihls, 1B/RHP, Fort Wayne Carroll HS, 2014:  The 6-foot-4, 185 pound Miehls has committed to Ohio Dominican University.  Meihls is currently ranked No. 118 in the 2014 class.  He's attended multiple PBR events throughout his HS carreer including last summers Top Prospect Games at Indiana University.

Matt Kent, RHP, Fort Wayne Canterbury, 2015:  The No. 28 player in Indiana's class of 2015 has committed to Xavier University.  Kent was a member of Team Indiana in last August's Midwest Future Games.  Kent is the 12th member of Team Indiana to commit to a Division 1 program.    

Matt Moore, LHP, Avon HS, 2016:  The No. 9 ranked player in Indiana's class of 2016 rankings, Matt Moore, has committed to Purdue University.  Moore is the second top 10 player in the 2016 class to commit to the Boilermakers.  Moore attended the Preseason All State showcase last Saturday where he was up to 84 mph.
