Indiana Player of the Week : Honorable Mentions for Week #6

The week six player of the week honor goes to Carson Darlage (Brownstown Central HS). The LHP threw a no-hitter for the Braves with 16 strikeouts & 0 walks. The senior was also 9 for 15 (.600 avg) at the plate with 3 doubles, 8 runs batted in, 1 home run, and 8 runs scored.

Josh Burton, RHP, 2024, Salem HS
Burton picked up two wins on the week, throwing 13 IP in total with 22 strikeouts, 7 hits, 1 walk, and 0 ER.
Wes Stiller, OF, 2023, New Palestine HS
Stiller was a big-time run producer for New Pal this past week, picking up 6 hits, including a HR, and driving in 11 runs.
Collin Osenbaugh, RHP/SS, 2025, Shenandoah HS
Osenbaugh threw 7 IP last week between two appearances on the mound, racking up 19 strikeouts and allowing just 1 H and 1 ER.
Nate Heflin, SS, 2023, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers HS
Heflin went 8 for 13 (.615) on the week with a 2B, a 3B, 4 runs scored, and 3 RBI - including the walk-off hit against 4A #9 Fort Wayne Carroll.
Bradley Ferrell, RHP/OF, 2024, South Central (Union Mills) HS
Ferrell was 9 for 14 (.643) at the dish with 4 doubles, 10 RBI, and 6 runs scored.
Zac Stawski, OF, 2023, South Bend St. Joseph HS
Stawski went 5 for 10 (.500) on the week, including a 2B and 4 RBI.
Ian Taylor, OF, 2026, Guerin Catholic HS
The freshman had a huge week offensively, going 8 for 16 (.500) with 3 2B, a 3B, a HR, and 7 runs scored.
Tate Troxell, RHP/INF, 2026, Guerin Catholic HS
Troxell picked up the win against 2A # 6 Lapel, going 4 IP with 1 H, 2 BB, and 0 ER, while striking out 5. He also went 7 for 17 at the plate with 4 doubles.
Charlie Schebler, SS/RHP, 2023, Batesville HS
Schebler was 8 for 14 (.571) at the plate, including a 2B, a HR, 6 RBI, 6 R, and 5 stolen bases. He also picked up a win in his start on the mound, going 5 IP without allowing an ER and striking out 11.
Dylan Toler, OF, 2023, Borden HS
Toler went 7 for 11 (.636) with 3 2B, 2 HR, 5 RBI, and 5 runs scored.
JP Oleson, 1B/P, 2024, Heritage Christian HS
The junior two-way player went 8 for 16 (.500) at the dish with 6 RBI, and also earned the win in his start on the mound, working 5 IP with 7 Ks.
Rhys Wolf, RHP/OF, 2026, Martinsville HS
The Notre Dame recruit picked up the win against Indian Creek, throwing a complete game with only 1 ER and 13 strikeouts.
Drew McTagertt, C/OF, 2025, Lafayette Harrison HS
McTagertt continues to swing a hot bat this season, going 7 for 12 (.583) on the week with 2 2B, a HR, 4 SB, and 4 runs driven in.
Gavin Collins, OF, 2023, Northridge HS
Collins provided some power to the Northridge lineup, going 9 for 17 with 5 2B, 2 HR, and 9 RBI.
Kaleb Short, SS/RHP, 2024, River Forest HS
Short went 5 for 10 (.500) at the plate with 2 2B and a 3B. He also picked up a win on the mound, working 7 IP with 14 K and 0 ER.
Tyler Blair, SS/RHP, 2024, Munster HS
Blair went 7 for 11 (.636) on the week with 2 2B, 3 HR (including a grand slam), and 10 RBI. Blair also picked up a win against conference foe Highland, working 6 ⅔ IP with 5 K.
Joseph Greene, OF/RHP, 2023, Hammond Central HS
Greene has made this list multiple times throughout the season and had another big week this week, going 8 for 13 (.615) with 3 2B, a HR, 9 RBI, 8 runs, and 8 stolen bases. He also worked 6 IP on the mound while picking up two wins, striking out 15.
Jake Phillips, RHP/3B, 2023, Perry Meridian HS
The senior right-hander picked up 3 wins on the week for the Falcons, working 10 ⅓ IP with just 1 ER, striking out 10.
Zane Cline, RHP/SS, 2025, Delta HS
Cline had a big performance against Wapahani, throwing a complete game shutout with 9 strikeouts. Cline also scored the only run of the game to help Delta to the 1-0 win.
Max Clark, OF, 2023, Franklin Community HS
Clark was an on-base machine this week for Franklin Community, reaching base safely in 10 of his 12 trips to the plate. Max went 5 for 8 (.625), scoring 6 runs and stealing 3 bases.
Aiden Smith, RHP/OF, 2026, Shelbyville HS
Smith makes this list for the second consecutive week, this week going 9 for 13 (.692) with two doubles and a home run. He also worked 6 IP on the mound, racking up 10 strikeouts.
Coen Evrard, LHP, 2024, Floyd Central HS
Evrard threw a complete game, no-hitter against Charlestown, working 7 IP with 0 ER, 1 BB, and 14 strikeouts.
Hogan Denny, C/INF/RHP, 2024, Mooresville HS
The Indiana recruit went 6 for 11 (.556) this week with 6 runs scored, 8 stole bases, and 6 walks. Hogan also earned the save against Greenwood, throwing 2 innings without allowing a base runner.
