Four more senior prospects have named their schools recently. A look at who’s going where:
+ Anthony Santos, a physical RHP/1B from York HS, has committed to Black Hawk College. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Santos was one of the top prospects at the Unsigned Senior Showcase in January. The right-hander sat 85-88 with his fastball, and showed feel for three pitches. He also swung a powerful right-handed bat at the plate. Santos is currently ranked No. 130 in Illinois’ 2014 class.
+ Collin Holton, a MIF from O’Fallon HS, has committed to Southwestern Illinois College. As a junior, Holton hit .322 with 32 runs and 39 hits for the Panthers.
+ A pair of Niles Notre Dame prospects named their schools recently. 3B/OF Tom Simon committed to Coe College. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Simon is currently ranked No. 250 in Illinois’ 2014 class. … Joe Kukla, a 6-foot, 170-pound OF/3B, has committed to Dominican University. Kukla ran a 6.95 and showed solidly at two positions at the Unsigned Senior Games last August.
+ LHP Michael Peters, who was originally committed to Indiana State, will now attend Des Moines Area CC in Iowa. Thea 6-foot-1 LHP from Rock Island HS is ranked No. 82 in Illinois’ 2014 class. Peters had committed to Indiana State in the winter of his junior year.
