Several more prospects have named their schools recently. A look at who’s going where:
+ Alex Wolanski, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound catcher from Neuqua Valley HS, has committed to Eastern Michigan. Wolanski helped Neuqua Valley to the Class 4A state semifinals as a junior.
+ Illinois Central College landed a pair of prospects from Alton Marquette HS. Austin Siener, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound SS is coming off a solid junior campaign in which he hit .371 with six doubles and 25 RBI. ICC also landed Geoffrey Ferguson, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound OF. As a junior, Ferguson batted .410 with 11 doubles, five triples, two home runs, 29 runs and 21 stolen bases.
+ Diontrell Earls, a 6-foot, 190-pound OF from Simeon HS, has committed to Purdue University-North Central. Earls ran a 6.89 60 at the PBR Unsigned Senior Games in early August.
+ Joe Gregory, a catcher from Heartland CC, has committed to Northwestern Ohio. Gregory was a standout at Antioch HS, and was ranked No. 104 in Illinois’ 2012 class.
