Several more prospects have named their schools recently:
+ Tommy Bordignon, a RHP/INF from Loyola Academy HS, has committed to Northwestern. Currently ranked No. 73 in Illinois’ 2014 class, the 5-foot-11 Bordignon has seen his stock soar this summer as he consistently held upper-80s velocity, reaching as high as 89 mph, to go along with a sharp breaking ball. Bordignon also showed the ability to be a two-way player at the next level.
+ Wyatt Trautwein, a RHP from Barrington HS, has committed to Bradley. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Trautwein is currently ranked No. 35 in Illinois’ 2014 class and No. 145 overall. Trautwein showed especially well at the PBR Top Prospect Showcase in June, when he sat 86-88 mph with a 79-82 mph slider.
+ Alex Hitney, a RHP from St. Laurence HS, has committed to Heartland CC. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Hitney is currently ranked No. 57 in Illinois’ 2014 class. At the PBR Top Prospect Showcase he topped out at 89 mph, sitting at 86, with hard arm-side life.
+ Matt Sullivan, a MIF from Huntley HS, has committed to Chicago State. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Sullivan is currently ranked No. 68 in Illinois’ 2014 class. Sullivan showed well at the PBR Top Prospect Showcase when he ran a 6.89 60, was clocked at 81 mph from the infield and showcased a quick and quiet swing at the plate.
+ Ryan Arnold, a 6-foot-3, 197-pound RHP from Rochester HS, has committed to Lincoln Land CC.
