CLASS 3A SUPER-SECTIONALS
St. Viator 13, Benet 4
Cole Kmet homered, tripled and struck out nine in 5 ⅓ innings to lead St. Viator into the Class 3A semifinals. The Notre Dame-bound football player allowed two runs on four hits and one walk and drove home three runs in the victory. Michael Wittich went 2-for-2 with three RBI for St. Viator.
Champaign Central 13, Mascoutah 6
Trailing by four with five outs left in its season. Central exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the sixth to advance to the Class 3A semifinals. Zak Hartleb hit a three-run homer with one out to start the rally, and Cade Sestak added a two-run shot. Mascoutah led 6-0 before Cam Robinson got Central started with a two-run homer in the fifth.
Marian Catholic 11, Solorio 0

Marmion 6, Morton 3
Bobby Pierce hit two doubles and Jack Molenhouse had two hits and drove in two runs to lead Marmion into the Class 3A semifinals. Eric Lundell allowed two earned runs on five hits in 5⅔ and Nick Brummel got the final four outs for the save.
