Highland Park's Shimanovsky commits, and other news
January 25, 2012
Another Class of 2013 prospect is off the board when Highland Park LHP Brett Shimanovsky committed to St. Louis University.
Shimanovsky, ranked No. 21 in Illinois’ Class of 2013, saw his stock soar during the Fall Prospect Program when the 6-foot, 170-pounder dominated the competition with a three-pitch repertoire, including a deceptive mid-80s fastball. As a sophomore, Shimanovsky earned some big wins on varsity for Highland Park.
