2017 OF Bryson Haskins commits to Henderson State University. Haskins jumped on my radar at the end of the 2016 playing second base for 2016 State Championship runner Ashdown High School. He accepted our invitation to the Top Prospects Games at Arvest Ball Park in early June. He impressed coaches in that event showing off his top end speed running a 6.51 in the 60. Haskins had a strong summer playing for the Extra Innings Sticks.
This fall he is competing in our Fall Prospect League, competing at Henderson State University on September 25th. Below you will find our complete write up on Haskins.
Bryson Haskins, OF. Ashdown HS
Haskins is a 6-foot 170-pound outfielder with an athletic frame and physical build. He is a premium athlete that runs a 6.57 in the 60. Defensively he shows solid instincts playing through the baseball with fluid footwork. He uses a normal exchange with stiff arm action from a ¾ arm slot. Offensively he attacks the baseball with a line drive swing with rotation. He fines barrel on a consistent basis. Overall Haskins is an advanced athlete with raw bat speed.
