Lancaster-Lebanon League quarterfinals:
Garden Spot 6, Lampeter-strasburg 2
Lampeter-Strasburg cruised through five innings with a 2-0 league thanks in large part to a dominating pitching performance from Kris Pirozzi, The right-hander, ranked No. 33 in the PA Class of 2018, allowed just three hits while striking out 10 in his five innings of work. The high strikeout count and a pair of high pitch totals in the 1st and 3rd innings however forced L-S to go to the bullpen in the bottom of the 6th and Garden Spot took advantage.

The Spartans sent 10 hitters to the plate in the inning combining the hit batters, an LS error and three hits into a six run uprising that propelled them into today's semifinal game against Penn Manor, a 1-0 winner over Anville-Cleona in nine innings yesterday. A bases clearing, two-out double from Dylan Crossan was the innings big blow.
Pirozzi (2-4, 2B, 3B) was also the offensive star for L-S. Connor Blantz' RBI single in the 1st inning and Caleb Danehower's RBI triple in the 5th inning accounted for the Pioneers' runs. Crossan went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and three RBI to lead the Spartans.
