With 2022 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2023. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2023 Spring Team Preview: Galion Tigers

Team Name: Galion Tigers
Head Coach: Kenny Fagan
Division: II
2022 Record: 8-15
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/4

Coach Outlook: "2022 was tough, lost a key guy in Bluffton commit Brody Symsick to TJ early in the year, started 3 freshman in most the games but they can ball (Braxton Prosser, Allen Carver, Max Albert). Another Freshman in Jimmy Hardy played big innings. We also started 4 sophomores in Kael Longwell, Landon Campbell, Hunter Miniard, Holden Hunter, along with sophomore Carson Frankhouse getting some innings.

Those young guys who are going to be sophomores/juniors in 2023 are going to play a big part in the 2023 season. Looking to keep growing and surprise some people."

2023 Team Strengths:

  • Continuity, a lot of guys that have been playing together for a long time. Nobody has to hold anyone else accountable, they all know their roles and jobs.
