Team Georgia: Game 3 Recap

Georgia came out looking to continue their offensive performance against Texas in Game 3 of the Future Games. Darrell McDowell had a competitive outing against Texas showing off his impressive stuff. He held them to 1 run and kept Georgia in it. Michael Hunter Stonecipher roped a double into right field to bring home a run, tying it up at 1. Jake Howell came in for a  2 inning appearance in which he showed off his ability to compete in tough situations. He struck out 2 while showing off the breaking ball. Texas put up 3 runs to take the lead in the top of the 3rd. Georgia’s bat’s did not stop the offensive dominance as they capitalized off of a Reiston Durham RBI single. In the bottom of the 4th, the offense tallied 2 more runs off of a Terrance Bowen RBI double and Judson Hartwell RBI single. After a duo of impressive pitching outings by Ethan Garrett and Jared Glenn, Georgia fell short of taking Game 3 against Texas and ending in a 6-6 tie. Overall the Georgia future games team made an impact impressing in all aspects of the game. They finished the week 1-1-1. Looking ahead, these players will be fun to follow as they approach the next level.
