Future Games Spotlight: Bobby Seymour

Legitimate left-handed power is a golden commodity, which is why the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Seymour should quickly establish himself as one of the most coveted prospects in the Midwest. Physically mature for his age, Seymour possesses easy power to all fields. The ball jumps off his bat with backspin carry as well as any freshman we’ve seen in Illinois in long time. He has a relaxed, tall approach, and consistently showed the ability to drive the ball to left-center – a rarity among young, physical power hitters. Defensively, he will likely end up at first base, but he can also play the outfield. Where ever he plays, Seymour shows the potential to become a middle-of-the-lineup run-producer for years to come. Seymour did not play this spring after transferring from Brother Rice to Mount Carmel, but will be eligible to play for the Caravan in the spring of 2015.    

 The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is a one-of-a-kind event featuring the top 2016 prospects from across our 10 state coverage area. This year taking place at Grand Park in Westfield, IN from July 31-August 2, hundreds of scouts from across the country will fill the stands to watch some of the top uncommitted 2016 prospects across our coverage area.

Over the next several weeks we will begin to unveil prospects who have been selected to participate in this year's event with a brief history and bio of the player and what we can expect from him at the PBR Future Games.
