Future Games Preview: Eli Dilday, a SS from Christian HS
August 2, 2012
Elijah Dilday from Christian HS could be one of the most athletic members of Team Missouri in the Midwest Future Games team. The 6-foot, 185-pound Dilday stood out at the Preseason Prospect ID Showcase as a left handed hitter with a smooth and easy stroke that drove consistently hard line drives with backspin carry. In the field, Dilday showed a strong arm, at 82 mph arm across the diamond.
This past spring, Dilday was a bit hampered by an ankle injury, but that didn’t stop him from producing. Dilday led his high school team in nearly all offensive categories wit a .438 batting average, five doubles, five triples, four home runs and thirty-four RBIs. Now back at full strength and ready to display is strength and athleticism in front of college coaches and MLB scouts and the Midwest Future Games.
