Scouting Report: 6/21/16- Add another prospect to Indiana’s seemingly endless supply of front-line arms. 2020 LHP Ryan Lynch (Penn HS), who first caught the attention of the PBR Indiana staff at the March 2015 Future Prospects Showcase as a seventh grader flashing an 81-82 mph fastball, has continued to make progress. Earlier this week at the Indiana Top Prospect Games the 6-foot-1, 185-pound lefty stood out again, showing a simple, athletic delivery and advanced body control for his age while throwing with clean arm action from a three-quarters slot. He showed a velocity increase since we had seen him a year ago, working 83-86 mph with life – mostly arm-side run with occasional cutting action inside to right-hand hitters in game action. Lynch also features a 71-73 mph breaking ball with 1/7 shape and occasional sharp break and a 77-78 mph change-up with arm-side run.
