The Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2023 prospects and select 2024 prospects. In a typical year, more than 320 college coaches from all over the country are in attendance. The event is huge draw for college with many of the top uncommitted players from across the country in attendance. The Prep Baseball Report services are also subscribed by more than 800 colleges and pro scouts. Last year, due to COVID, scouts weren't able to be in attendance but they were able to follow along through our online streaming platform that is hooked up on every field at this premier facility.
Players will also receive maximum visibility from college coaches all over the country, in addition to being promoted through the Prep Baseball Report multimedia platforms.
Each state team will play three games. Day 1, all position players will be put through a showcase workout in which they will run 60s, take batting practice and be evaluated at their primary position. The following days players will compete in live game setting vs teams & top players from other states.
2023 OF Anthony Diaz JOINS TEAM ARIZONA
+ 2023 OF Anthony Diaz (Catalina Foothills)- 6-foot-2, 170-pounds, long athletic frame with projectable body, has added some lean strength. Baseball in blood, dad is the 3B coach for the MN Twins. Sets up in an athletic base with slightly open stance. Uses a small simple leg lift with repeatability. Loads barrel vertically, slotting as he starts his swing. Showed some ability to drive the ball while working from an inverted swing path Consistently works the ball in the air with middle approach, 92 mph exit velocity via trackman. High upside as a left-handed hitter as he cleans up the path & slots the barrel more efficiently, power potential to come. Has some feel to hit but there is room for refinement and should see an increased ability to find the barrel in the future with his athleticism. Athletic footwork with confident first step, ran a 6.85 60-yard dash at our Top Prospect Games. Creates angles by rounding the baseball. Keeps momentum going with some speed. Arm continues to improve, showing some carry at 82mph. Quick clean transfers & release. Development should be followed closely.
