Andrew Duval (LHP, P27 Academy, 2022) - Duval provided an intriguing look for scouts a this years event. The 6-1 LHP creates some deception with his angle and works from a H3Q arm slot. He showed consistent ability to work down in the zone and locate to both sides of the plate. The FB showed some arm side life and enough action to stay off the barrel. He worked the pitch in the 81-84 mph range and complemented it nicely with a big 67-69 mph breaking ball that showed 1/7 shape and late downer action drawing swing and miss.
Andrew Duvall (P27 Academy 2022 LHP) is an efficient strike thrower living low in the zone. Keeps hitters off balance, 81-83 with a sharp SL at 67-69...1-7 movement and tight. @PBR_SC pic.twitter.com/CCcYow60tH

Seve Mack (RHP, Spring Valley, 2022) - Athletic RHP showcased a quick arm with tons of upside. He worked 84-86 mph with the FB and showed 72-74 mph CB. Mack was erratic with his control for stretches during his outing. Even through the control issues the ceiling on the stuff is good enough to play at the next level. Keep an eye on Mack as the velo trends up and the control issues are smoothed out.
Calder Garris (C/RHP, Wando, 2022) - Broad shoulders and strong lower half. Garris showcased well behind the plate on workout day and saw innings at catcher and 1B during the games. He also threw two innings and recorded the events top spin rate for his breaking ball at 3295 rpm. The max effort delivery may be nearing its cap in projection, however the stuff will play currently (FB 88/CB 70) and the work ethic and aggressive approach will help him reach his ceiling. Since the event Garris has made a commitment to the Citadel.

Joey Hylinski (RHP, Legion Collegiate, 2022) - Hylinski saw his outing cut short due to impending weather and lightening in the area. Although he worked a limited outing he still showcased his up-tempo delivery and athleticism. He worked a 3 pitch mix with feel in the zone for all three pitches. His FB was up to 87 with arm side life and he included a 72 mph CB and a 76 mph CH. Hylinski will attack hitters in the lower half of the zone and challenge early. Starter profile.

Jacob Jarrell (C, P27 Academy, 2022) - Jarrell is a uber utility man that saw time at Cather, 3B, and LF for Team Carolinas. The primary catcher picked up two doubles in the game play and filled his BP rounds with plenty of loud contact to have the PBR team of scouts buzzing. He is a good runner with enough instinct and savvy to play the game at a fast pace. The balanced approach and understanding of the zone will make an impact at the next level.

Cooper Holbrook (1B/OF, Porter Gaud, 2022) - A strong physical 1B/OF who was a big winner on workout day. Holbrook has easy natural juice and mashed his share of baseballs during BP. He has a good understanding of the strike zone, controlled aggression, and the lean strength will play. He is a sneaky good runner and tracked several balls well from his corner OF spots. Also a capable defender at 1B.

Rom Kellis (3B, P27 Academy, 2022) - Kellis's swing shows plenty of loft, the 3B put several balls out in his BP rounds on workout day. His hands are loose and quick. He takes an aggressive swings in the box and the approach will continue to evolve. The swing will do damage, however he found himself slightly over aggressive in spots. His arm was one of the best 3B arms at the event and he shows in off in game when given the chance. Expect Kellis to fill out and stick at the hot corner or even slide across the INF to 2B.

Gabriel Simmons (SS/2B, Nation Ford, 2023) - The flashy utility infielder saw time at multiple positions and excelled. His smooth infield defense stood out on workout day and carried over into the game playing both positions in the middle of the field with ease. At the plate he finished the event in the top 10 Blast Motion averages for avg. hand speed. He reached multiple times in 3 games and was aggressive early on the bases showing his ability to run by swiping several bags.

Ben Bullard (3B, Wando, 2022) - Bullard put on a display of his advanced approach, working deep into multiple counts and drawing multiple base on balls. He has a patient approach and hunts for pitches in his sweet spot. His BP round featured line drives and gap to gap fly balls with ample carry. Although he was never really tested in game his workout at 3B showed solid arm strength and plenty of carry. His frame will continue to mature and sustain additional strength.
