After falling behind 2-0, Forney scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead over Lovejoy. The big hit came on a 2-out, 2-RBI double by CF Klayton Henderson. Forney added an insurance run in the sixth to defeat Lovejoy 4-2. This was a clean, hard fought game as neither team committed an error. 2018 RHP Mason Englert, a Texas A&M recruit and No. 3 Ranked prospect in Texas, earned the win, pitching 6.1 innings, allowing two runs on eight hits, one walk, and eleven strikeouts.
