Less than a month and a half remains until PBR Pennsylvania's Elite Prospect Showcase on November 7th at Keystone State Baseball Academy in Manheim. Today, we continue our series of previews on prospects who will be in attendance, as we highlight Lansdale Catholic 2017 third baseman Ryan McSorley.
McSorley is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitter with a quality tool set. He has shown good speed (6.81 60-yard dash, 4.34 home-to-1B) and power potential (89-mph exit velocity). He he also flashes solid bat speed and his hands work. One thing we'll be looking to see this time around is if he can keep his weight behind his front side longer and allow the ball to travel deeper into the zone. Defensively, he routinely showcases a quick, clean exchange and solid arm strength (79-mph) across the diamond.
