The Fall College Prospect Program will get under way on September 13 with a stop at Widener University in Philadelphia, PA. One week later on September 20 the program concludes with the Western PA Fall Review at La Roche College in Pittsburgh, PA. This program affords college prospects an opportunity to showcase their abilities in game action at one of two college campuses during the month of September.

2016  MIF/RHP Greg Grandelli (Roman Catholic)

Grandelli is a 6-foot, 185-pound right-handed hitter that has stood out at several PBR events over the past year. The uncommitted senior hits from a slightly open stance with minimal stride. Grandelli's swing has some length although he shows an ability to barrel the baseball in BP when he is on time. He ran a 7.43 60-yard dash and a 4.78 in-game home-to-1B time at the PBR Mid-Atlantic Border Battle in July. Grandelli showcased and 86-mph exit velocity and 82-mph arm strength during workout. He tends to field the ball deep, but features solid actions and an accurate arm.

Listed as a primary position player, Grandelli's performance on the mound this summer may change that. His fastball that previously sat in the low-80s was 84-85 with armside sink late this summer from a low three-quarter slot. Grandelli showed a feel for an 11/5 curveball at 64-65 and good sell on his change-up at 74-75.
