The Eastern PA Fall Review, the second in a series of three fall events that will culminate with the Invitation Only Elite Prospect Showcase on October 28, took place on September 23rd. Nearly 30 prospects from three states showcased their abilities at Widener University. Today we conclude our analysis of the prospects in attendance at the Eastern PA Fall Review by taking a look at prospects from the Class of 2020 and 2022.

CLASS OF 2020 & 2022
Gavin McGowan, 3B/RHP, Hazleton Area HS (PA), 2020
6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitter with a projectable frame starts from an open stance and initiates his swing with a leg-hang stride. Displayed an above average feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 86 mph. Ran a 7.64 60-yard dash and showcased a soft glove hand while fielding from a narrow base. Displayed ability to play through the baseball with accurate 78 mph arm strength across the diamond. Righty sat 77-78 from a high 3/4 arm slot working three scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Up tempo delivery begins with a side-rocker step. Displayed good rhythm and balance throughout while getting downhill consistently. Also commanded a curveball with 11/5 rotation at 77-78 and a changeup at near fastball arm speed that sat 68-70.
Nikolas Rubendall, OF/SS, Norristown HS (PA), 2022
5-foot-11, 150-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a short lift-and-replace stride. Displayed a short swing path with above average feel for the barrel. Displayed an 80 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.61 60-yard dash. Showcased athleticism and arm strength at a pair of positions during defensive workouts. Played through the ball well in the outfield with accurate, straight line carry on throws of 79 mph. Flashed 80 mph arm strength across the diamond from shortstop with active feet while attacking good hops and playing the ball on the move. Advanced athlete will be a prospect to watch in this class in future years.
Zion Spearman, OF, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (PA), 2020
Physical 5-foot-11, 210-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a short, lift-and-replace stride. Displayed above average strength in lower half and the ability to back spin the baseball with current pull-side power. Ball jumps off barrel with a bat exit velocity of 85 mph. Went 1-for-5 with several barreled baseballs for loud outs and ran a 7.00 60-yard dash. Showcased solid reads in the outfield with good range with accurate 76 mph arm strength. Definite high follow in this class.
Steven Theisen, SS, Garnet Valley HS (PA), 2020
5-foot-9, 165-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a short, lift-and-replace stride. Displayed a short swing path with above average rhythm and balance throughout. Barreled the baseball consistently with a bat exit velocity of 83 mph in batting practice and put together a number of quality at bats in game action. Displayed soft hands and easy actions defensively with accurate 74 mph arm strength across the diamond. Showcased active feet and fluid actions with more than enough arm strength when needed to stay on the left side of the infield.
