East West All Star Game at Comerica Wrap Up
June 26, 2012

The 31st annual Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association (MHSBCA) East vs West All Star game held was held at Comerica Park last night. Both rosters were loaded with talent as is to be expected, so it was a joy to watch some good baseball. What was unexpected was the final score. The West spanked the East by a final of 16-6.
Despite good arms throwing all night the bats were the story. Both teams combined for 28 hits on the night and left 16 runners on base, all the while scoring 22 runs.
University of Michigan commit Jake Balicki was named MVP for the East while Alex Rapanos, a Michigan State commit, picked up honors for the West.
Congrats to all those who participated, not only on your selection to the game but also on your fine high school careers. Best of luck at the next level.
