FREMONT, CALIF. - As an open event, this was conducted as a straight traditional showcase, 60 yard run, BP round (with Blast Motion sensors and TrackMan utilized for gathering of various data and metrics), defensive workouts, and pitchers ending the day on the mound throwing 15-20 pitch sessions.

Joe Plaskett, Washington (Fremont, CA), 2022
Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Physical: 6-1, 188-pounds; Broad shouldered, muscular build.
Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using an angled drop step. Mid chest leg drive with tilted shoulders. Has a long stride landing in-line with the plate. Long arm swing while showing no restrictions; high/over the top slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 86 MPH, while sitting 83-85 MPH; straight action. CB: 72-76 MPH; slurve-like action. CH: 74-80 MPH; maintains same plain. Physical body, strong arm, some lower body mechanical tweaks to access more strength, stability, and backside finish could unlock hidden velocity.

Tanner Bradley, Cardinal Newman (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Physical: 6-0, 155-pounds; Lean, wiry build. 7.53 runner in the 60.
Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup working primarily from the stretch. Mid chest leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a long stride landing in-line with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing effortless and fluid actions; high-3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 85 MPH, while sitting 83-84 MPH; arm side run with sink. CB: 68-71 MPH; late action. CH: 73-75 MPH; fading action. Lively in all regards including raw stuff, delivery, arm action, life and bite, aggressive and confident demeanor, has stuff to project three well above average pitches as he develops.

Stavros Booras, California (San Ramon, CA), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Physical: 5-10, 155-pounds; Lean, athletic build. 7.85 runner in the 60.
Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a moderate stride landing in-line with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing no restrictions; high 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 79-81 MPH; straight action. CB: 65-67 MPH; slurve-like action. SL: 71-73 MPH; short action. Athletic delivery with body control, arm works easily suggesting steady velo gains are ahead, slider much tighter than CB, reliever type projection through his HS years.

Yulian Aviles, Washington (Fremont, CA), 2024
Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Physical: 6-3, 180-pounds; Long, average build. 7.74 runner in the 60.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a moderate stride while landing closed. Long arm swing while arm wraps behind the body; standard 3/4 slot. Upright with finish. FB: Peak velo of 73 MPH, while sitting 70-72 MPH; arm side run. SL: 60-63 MPH; 2-tier break. CH: 68-70 MPH; fading action. Presents a unique look with sinker slider profile and a change to play off the FB, loose arm, could perhaps drop down further to enhance his stuff which isn't velocity focused.

Baesun Son, Washington (Fremont, CA), 2024
Positional Profile: RHP
Physical: 5-11, 145-pounds; Average frame with lean body composition.
Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders outside the hips. Has a long stride landing in-line with the plate. Long arm swing while stabbing downward; high/over the top slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 70 MPH, while sitting 68-69 MPH; straight action. CB: 63-65 MPH; slurve-like action. Uses hesitation in delivery to create some disruption of timing for hitters, strike-throwing approach, was around the zone.
