DUNEDIN—The Dunedin Falcons opened up their annual spring tournament with a good win over Pinellas Park 8-1. The Falcons were led by 2015 RHP Tim Luth who went six innings and gave up one run, and 2015 catcher Justin Glover who went 2-3 with a sac fly, double, and three RBI’s.
Dunedin jumped on the board early when leadoff hitter Logan Jones (2015 OF) drew a walk and eventually scored on a wild pitch. After a couple scoreless innings, the Falcons were able to add three more runs, two coming off a deep double to center by Glover, to give them a 4-0 lead.
Luth continued to roll and Dunedin put the game away in the bottom of the sixth when they scored four more runs off a few walks, hits, and errors. The Patriots were able to score their only run of the game after 2015 OF Tyler Curry reach on a walk, stole second, and later was driven on a Ryan Griffith (2015 INF) sac fly.
