Draft League Spotlight: Tyler Uberstine
April 16, 2021
Player: Tyler Uberstine
Position: RHP
School: Northwestern
Uberstine offered a glimpse of his ability during the shortened 2020 season, going 2-0 with a 2.86 ERA in four starts for the Wildcats. While the redshirt junior and converted infielder hasn’t been able to replicate those numbers so far in 2021, Uberstine has continued to intrigue scouts with his solid three-pitch mix and athletic arm action. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound right-hander pounds the strike zone with all three offerings, using a 92-93 mph fastball to set up a slider and changeup.
