Draft League Spotlight: Logan Freeman
March 30, 2021
Player: Logan Freeman
Position: LHP
School: McLennan
A Texas A&M recruit, Freeman has a chance to develop into a high end arm. With a wiry, long-limbed frame at 6-foot-3, 190-pounds he works from an over-the-top arm slot with some natural deception due to a high front side. His fastball works at 90-92 mph and will cut on occasion. His fastball creates some tilt when down in the zone and plays at the top of the zone when paired with his big 77-78 mph curveball. He has also shown feel for a changeup at 81 mph, but mainly uses the fastball/curveball combo which gets plenty of swings and misses, both in and out of the zone.
