Draft League Spotlight: Kamron Fields
May 14, 2021
Player: Kamron Fields
Position: RHP
School: Texas Southern
A Texas transfer who joined Texas Southern ahead of the 2021 season, Fields had compiled a 2.48 ERA through his first eight starts before struggling in back-to-back turns against Grambling and Kansas State (15 ER in 3.2 IP) to close out April. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound right-hander has the repertoire needed to start at the next level, including a fastball that reaches 94-95 mph. He has a pair of breaking balls in a biting curve and a slider, as well as an effective changeup that rounds out his four-pitch mix.
