Lexington, Evangelical Christian, McCallie, Briarcrest Christian, and St. George's all punched their tickets to Murfreesboro last night. Here is a look at all the scores and highlights from around the state.
USJ 2, Davidson Academy 1
Garrett Guymon went 2 for 2 and Ryan Rolison went 1 for 3 to help lead the Bruins to a win. Rolison also had a huge night on the mound with 16 strikeouts and the win.
Davidson Academy 9, USJ 8
Allison had a huge game going 3 for 4 with two doubles, a home run and, 5 RBI to force a game three tonight with USJ. Murray also added a home run and 2 RBI for Davidson.
Evangelical Christian 7, Webb School 2
Cody Conway went 2 for 3 with a triple and Keegan Westbook went 3 for 3 with a double to lead the Eagles in an impressive win. Sadler Goodwin picked up the win on the mound.
Evangelical Christian 2, Webb School 1
Sadler Goodwin doubled and drove in a run, and Keegan Westbrook went the distance to lead Evangelical to the sweep of Webb School.
McCallie 8, St. Benedict 1
Tyler Payne went 2 for 4 with a double and Tyson Buchanan went 2 for 2 to lead McCallie to the win. Palmer Steventon picked up the win on the mound.
McCallie 3, St. Benedict 1
Corbin Brooksbank had a huge day going 2 for 4 with a double at the plate and picked up the win on the mound. Tyler Payne went 1 for 3 at the plate.
Briarcrest 9, Brentwood Academy 6
Dillard went 2 for 2 with a triple and Ellis went 3 for 4 at the plate to lead the Briarcrest offense. Smith picked up the win on the mound.
Briarcrest Christian 8, Brentwood Academy 0
Ellis and Dillard each homered twice, and Shamblin went 3 for 3 to lead Briarcrest to the sweep. Ince went the distance on the mound in the complete game shutout.
St.George’s 2, Ezell-Harding 0
Curt Bennett had a huge day at the plate going 3 for 4 with a double to lead the offense. Ben Glass went 2 for 4 at the plate and Travis Kelly picked up the win on the mound with 8 strikeouts.
St. George’s 4, Ezell-Harding 1
Connor Green fired a three-hitter with 8 strikeouts to lead St. George’s to the win.
Lexington 12, Haywood 5
Ethan Small had a hughe night going 2 for 3 with a double, home run and 7 RBI in leading Lexington to the Sub-State win. Ryan Odle worked 6 innings on the mound to pick up the win.
