Arizona State recruit Brendan Murphy struck out eight in three innings and Steven Sanchez went 3-for-4 with two doubles for the Mundelein.
No. 6 Providence 11, Joliet Central 2
Gaosh Williams went 3-for-4 with four RBI, Matt Swanson doubled twice and eight pitchers combined on a two-hitter for the Celtics. Zack Landy and Josh Mrozek had two hits and two RBI apiece in the victory.
No. 11 Lemont 4, Lockport 1
Nate Madej struck out 10 in six innings of two-hit ball and Matt Slee had two hits and two RBI for Lemont.

Henry Haracz and Chris Heywood combined on a one-hitter as Loyola pitching delivered its second shutout in as many days. Ryan Lin-Piestrup doubled and scored the game’s lone run on an error in the third inning.
Barrington 5, Prairie Ridge 1
Ryan Loutos struck out 12 in six perfect innings and Will Yorton hit a home run for the Broncos.
Elk Grove 4, Bartlett 0
Xander Rojahn struck out eight in five scoreless innings of three-hit ball and Ryan Singsank hit a two-run homer for the Grenadiers.
Crystal Lake South 3, Palatine 2
Ryan Parquette’s walk-off single with nobody out in the bottom of the seventh won it for the Gators. Kyle Lang allowed an earned run on four hits with seven strikeouts in five innings, and Mark Paul pitched two scoreless innings to earn the victory in relief.

Anthony Viviano went 3-for-3 with two RBI and Ryan Turgeon scattered three hits while striking out five in four scoreless innings for the Roadrunners.
Dundee-Crown 3, Conant 2
Ryan Denz drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs in the bottom of the seventh for Dundee-Crown. Erik Hedmark struck out six in four scoreless innings and Conor Ryan earned the win in relief.
Willowbrook 6, Naperville North 2
Alec Michaelson allowed one earned run on three hits while striking out seven in four innings for Willowbrook. Jack Hines and Jon Kelso had two RBI apiece in the victory.
Niles North 4, Taft 1
Jovanni Sanchez struck out eight in four hitless innings and Don Martin allowed two hits while striking out six in three innings for the save.

Kolby Miller allowed two hits in six scoreless innings, striking out five and walking none to earn the victory. Tyler Fredrickson had three hits for the Saxons.
Cicero Morton 4, Young 3
Fernando Adame doubled, tripled and was in the center of Morton’s two-run rally in the bottom of the sixth and scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth. Jovan Palacios allowed one hit in five innings of relief, striking out five and walking none, to pick up the win.
DeKalb 7, Rockford Boylan 6
Maxwell Lange’s two-run double in the bottom of the sixth broke a 5-5 tie. Derek Kyler and Noah Hallaron had three hits apiece for the Barbs.
Fenwick 10, St. Stephens & St. Agnes (Va.) 2
Justin Sosa allowed three hits in five scoreless innings, Mike Cerceo drove in four runs and Sherman Martin had three hits for the Friars.

Ryan Czajkowski pitched a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts and went 4-for-4 for the Argonauts.

Gabe Panza went 3-for-3 and Jeffrey Crafton had a three-run triple for Oswego.
Montini 3, Westmont 1
Danny Mallory and Ben Steiner combined on a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts. Steiner’s two-run double gave Montini a 3-0 lead in the fifth inning.

Braden Cox hit two solo home runs and Taylor Bruninga had three hits and five RBI in the victory.
Effingham 11, Newton 10
Brent Beals went 4-for-4 with four RBI and struck out seven in 3⅔ innings of one-hit ball. Zac Bateman added four hits and four RBI in the victory.

Trevor Durand had an RBI triple and for Mt. Zion pitchers combined on a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and two walks.
