Farragut 3, Athens (AL) 1
The Admirals received a strong performance on the mound from Owen Kovacs, as he tossed 6 innings of 1-hit baseball. Kovacs racked up 5 strikeouts and allowed only 1 walk and 1 unearned run. Offensively, Jake Hagenow and Justen Freeman both had a hit and an RBI in the win.
Knoxville Central 6, Maryville 5
Zach Ellis went 3-4 at the plate for the Bobcats with 2 doubles, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored, while also tallying the W on the mound. Bass Cooper, Seth Armstrong, and Tyler Ellison had the only other 3 hits on the day. Cooper drove in 2 runs and drew 2 walks.
Tipton-Rosemark 7, Lewisburg (MS) 2
Corey Mitson and Alex Langford had solid days at the plate for the Rebels, combining to go 3-6 with 5 RBI and 1 run. Mitson had a double, while Tyler Byrd scored 2 runs of his own. Tyler Flynn got the W on the mound, tossing a complete-game 4-hitter. Flynn allowed 2 runs (1 earned) and struck out 4 with 3 walks.
McGavock 22, Glencliff 0
Mason Devault threw a 5-inning no-hitter in the Raiders' win on Wednesday. Devault dealt 8 strikeouts and allowed only 3 walks. Carson Richardson, Alex Haddix, Cameron Smith, and Vaughn Hamel combined to go 11-14 with 13 RBI and 9 runs scored.
McNairy Central 10, Middleton 2
Jacob Jones got the W on the mound for the Bobcats by striking out 8 and allowing only 2 hits and 2 unearned runs in his 6 innings of work. Sidney Rickman went 2-3 with 2 RBI and a run scored, while Logan Roberts scored 2 runs and knocked 1 in with a triple.
Pope John Paul II 7, Brentwood Academy 3
The Knights stayed hot and received a standout performance from Collin O'Berry on Wednesday night. O'Berry finished 2-3 and hit a home run to finish with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored. Pace Dempsey threw 3 innings of shutout relief to get the W, striking out 1 and allowing 2 hits.
Karns 6, Maryville 3
Jared Culp recorded the W on the mound for the Beavers, as he struck out 4 while allowing only 4 hits and 1 unearned run in his 5.1 innings of work. Brian Bell went 2-4 with a double, a run, and an RBI and Jacob Nelson scored 2 runs and drove 1 in with a hit.
Davidson Academy 3, Franklin Road Academy 2
Ethan Tressler got the W for the Bears by striking out 6 in his 4.1 innings on the mound, allowing only 2 hits, 2 walks, and 2 unearned runs. Blake Osborne had a triple and 2 RBI to lead the offense, while Tressler drove in the other run.
Father Ryan 7, Ensworth 1
Evan Rewers sparked the Irish offense on Wednesday night, going 2-3 while driving in 2 runs and scoring 1 of his own. Hugh Hoagland got the complete-game victory on the mound, striking out 9 and allowing 3 hits, 3 walks, and 1 earned run.
Ravenwood 10, Dickson County 3
The potent Ravenwood offense busted out again on Wednesday, as 5 different Raptors contributed multi-hit games. Shane Craig led the way, going 3-3 with a double and a grand slam, driving in 6 runs and scoring one of his own. Alec Lubas got the W on the mound.
Independence 6, Brentwood 1
Ethan Small and Taylor Massey combined for a stellar performance on the mound, striking out 7 and allowing only 1 run. Carson Carroll and Dillan Saunders each had 2 hits. 6 Eagles scored 1 run each.
Blackman 8, Stewarts Creek 1
Connor Mitchell finished 2-3 with 2 runs and 2 RBI in the Blaze's win on Wednesday night. Connor Williamson and Peyton Milam combined for 3 hits and 3 RBI as well. Zavien Lindsey 3-4 at the plate and recorded the W on the mound by tossing 4 innings of 2-hit baseball.
