#2 Malvern Prep 11  Upper Darby 1

  • RHP Gardner Nutter led the way for Malvern Prep going five innings while yielding one run and three hits. OF Brian Giacchino went 2-for-3 with a two-run double.

Methacton 4  #7 Hatboro-Horsham 3

  • Hatboro-Horsham built an early 3-0 lead on Friday, but Methacton roared back to take a 4-3 victory. Grant Opalsky's two run single was the big blow for HH in the 3rd inning. Methacton never trailed after scoring three runs in the sixth on an error, a fielder's choice, and an RBI single by Danny Damato.

#8 Liberty 6  Bethlehem Catholic 2

  • Edward Albertson went 6 strong innings for the Hurricanes, striking out 10. Liberty had just two hits but were aided by 8 walks to pull out the victory.

#11 West York 4  Bermudian Springs 0

  • Joe Prego pitched a complete game one-hitter with eight strikeouts.

#16 Parkland 2  Nazareth 0

  • Tyler Duff pitched a complete game four hitter with eight strikeouts to lead Parkland. Bloomsburg recruit Damin Muth went 2-for-3 to drive the Parkland offense.

The Hill School 12  #17 Germantown Academy 6

  • The Hill School scored seven times in the top of the 5th inning to erase a 6-5 deficit in defeating the #17 team in PA. Adam Regensburg was the offensive star going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Brian Brown#20 Coatesville 13  Kennett 1

  • Ten Coatesville hitters registered at least one hit and Duke recruit Brian Brown pitched a complete game four hitter with 12 strikeouts. Harford CC recruit C.J. Young and Shippensburg recruit Jake Kennedy each scored three times to lead the the Red Raider offense.

Haverford School 8  Milton (MA) 2

  • Haverford College recruit Matt Galetta worked six innings with 10 strikeouts for the win. He was aided by Lehign recruit Steve Fitzgerald's three-run home run.

Cumberland Valley 6  Central Dauphin East 2

  • Seton Hill recruit Matt Ober went five strong innings of two-hit baseball. VCU recruit Matt Davis led the offense going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI.

Hempfield 3  Lancaster Catholic 0 

  • UNC-Wilmington recruit Cory Gantz tossed a complete game 3-hitter with nine strikeouts and only one walk. Gantz supported himself with a 2-for-3 day at the plate as well. Longwood recruit Mac McCafferty had two of Lancaster Catholic's three hits.

West Allegheny 3  Moon 2

  • Tyler Amedure went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and sophomore RHP Colin Claus pitched the final 1.1 innings to pick up the save.

Red Land 2  Carlisle 0

  • Kyle Searfoss pitched a complete game one-hitter and VCU recruit 1B Shane Dressler hit a solo home run to power Red Land to their 2nd win in as many days.

Brandyn SmithState College 5  Cedar Cliff 1

  • Cedar Cliff was hurt by four errors in a 5-1 loss to State College. Catcher Brandyn Smith had the lone RBI for Cedar Cliff.

Eastern York 9  Columbia 1

  • LHP Terry Godfrey picked up the win going 3.1 innings, yielding one run on one hit with five strikeouts. Thomas Taylor went 2-for-5 with three RBI and a home run to lead the Eastern York offense.

Manheim Central 7  Warwick 3

  • Warwick out hit Manheim Central 9-5, but five errors led to a 7-3 loss. Colin Fry's home run was the big blow for Manheim Central.

Whitehall 6  Northampton 4

  • Senior Tyler Sweeney went 1-for-3 with a double and three RBI to lead Whitehall. Sweeney also went to the mound in the 7th to earn the save.
