League play is underway in all classification, here is a look at action from yesterday.
Daily Roundup:
Rocky Mountain 13 Boulder 8
Trailing 3 to 0 going into the bottom of the 3rd inning, the Boulder Panthers unloaded on the Lobos scoring 8 runs in the 3rd. The Lobos then kicked it into gear and scored 3 in the 5th, 6 in the 6th, and 1 in the 7th to beat the Panthers on Tuesday. The Lobos John Sorensen (2017) went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and a home run, while Brady Morris (2017) went 1 for 4 with 5 RBI’s.
Chatfield 5 Arvada West 4
Chatfield stayed hot Tuesday defeating Arvada West. Chatfield had to score the winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning. Chatfield was led by, Jack Winkler (2017) who was 1 for 3 with 3 RBI’s and a home run.
Smoky Hill 5 Cherry Creek 2
Smoky Hill had a big upset by beating the Bruins on Tuesday. Cherry Creek was only able to score two runs in the top of the 5th inning. The Buffaloes pitcher threw an outstanding game, for the Bruins Isaac Kron (2018) was 2 for 2 with 1 RBI.
Grandview 10 Overland 4
Grandview pounded out 12 hits to score 10 runs on Tuesday. The Wolves were led by, Tyson Hays (2017) who had a home run and 2 RBI’s, and Garrett Gipson (2017) who went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 RBI’s.
ThunderRidge 3 Rock Canyon 2
The Grizzlies were down 2 to 0 going into the top of the 4th and then Reece Lansville (2018) came up with a clutch hit driving in 2 runs with 2 outs, and then in the 5th Brody Perkins (2017) drove in the winning run. Grizzlies pitchers Quincey Ulrich (2017) threw 5 innings allowing just 1 earned run, Cody Kohl (2017) threw 1.1 innings allowing just 1 hit, and then Jake Haze (2018) came in to close it out with 2 strike outs.
