This spring, Prep Baseball Report Oklahoma will continue to strive to provide the most comprehensive baseball coverage the state has to offer. We will be reporting scores along with posting game recaps and highlighting teams and individual performances throughout the spring season. went five strong earning the win for Ponca City, striking out eight and only allowing one earned run.  Brayden Angle recorded the save, striking out all four batters he faced to end the game.  Angle contributed offensively as well with two hits and an RBI. Noah Henley also turned in a two hit day for Ponca City. For Bartlesville, the bright spot was Connors State commit Garrett Meidl who had a 2-for-3 day with an RBI.

lead the way offensively for the Bixby, going 2-for-3 with a HR and four RBI. Colby Tillman also left the yard for the Spartan’s.  Seminole State commit Nic Swanson got the win on the mound, throwing the last  two and two thirds and punching out five, while only giving up one hit. The bright spots for Jenks were a two run HR from Oklahoma State commit Brett Standlee, and a 2-for-2 day with two walks, an RBI and run scored from Tanner Lawrence.

BOOKER T WASHINGTON (6A) @ CLAREMORE (5A) 0-4
It was all Taylor Davis in this one as he threw a complete game shutout, giving up only three hits, one walk, and striking out seven for Claremore. Offensively, Brady Brim and Bryson Vanover both posted a hit, run scored, and RBI for the Zebras. For Booker T Washington, Beau Phillips did what he could in his start, giving up two earned in four innings of work.

NOC Enid commit Dylan Reeves posted a career night  yesterday, throwing a complete game against a good Norman team,  punching out 12, only walking two, and giving up only one unearned run. Offensively, Jordan Compton posted one hit, one run scored, and one RBI. For Norman, the only offence came from freshman Cade Horton, who had their only hit and run scored.

The performance of the night goes to senior Oklahoma State commit, Tanner Sparks. Sparks threw a complete game, three hit, shutout posting 15 strikeouts with only two walks for Shawnee. Though they would score three more runs later, Cole Payne’s two run HR in the second would be all that Sparks would need. For Duncan, leadoff Caleb Miskell was 1-for-2 with a walk, and Bailey Webb was nails in two and a third innings of relief, not allowing a hit.

ENID (6A) @ OWASSO (6A) 5-12
Though no player in the Owasso lineup had more than one hit, timely hitting and drawing 15 walks lead to a good offensive night for the Rams. Caleb Denny, Charlie Reuss, and Jake Enzbrenner all had two RBI’s. Brayden Lloyd threw a complete game giving up five runs, only two of which were earned. For Enid, Mason Skrimager threw four innings, giving up three runs, only one earned, while going 2-for-4 at the dish as well. Paris commit Kros Bay posted a hit, run scored, and RBI for Endi.

In a game riddled with costly errors on both sides, it was Spiro that was able to outlast Muskogee. Coming in relief in the first inning, Bradlee Chronister threw six and a third, only allowing three earned for the win. Offensively, Chronister and Ethan Caldwel both supplied two hit days, while Cade Blankenship was 1-for-3 with four runs scored, two RBI, and a walk. For Muskogee, Seth Shiew lead the way with two hits, 2 RBI, and a run scored. Mathis Givins and Travon Huges also posted two hits a piece.

MUSTANG (6A) @ SOUTHMOORE (6A) 1-5
Left-hander Cole Lee was terrific on the mound for Southmoore, spreading out six hits to allow just one earned run. Offensively, Lebette CC commit Landon Lord lead the way with an RBI line drive base hit to left in the first. Lord later lined out to right and collected another well struck hit to left in his third at bat going 2-for-4 on the day. Oklahoma State commit Conner Uselton was 1-for-2 with a single to left, a stolen base, an intentional walk, HBP, and a run scored, to go along with a nice sliding grab in center field to save a run. For Mustang, second baseman Seth Selby went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Brett Rexroad had Mustangs only extra base hit on the day on a double to right center in his second at bat.

OKTAHA (2A-#2) vs TAHLEQUAH (5A) 3-0
Jake Robbins was the star of the show with a complete game, one hit, shutout of a talented Tahlequah team. Robbins posted six strikeouts and allowed two walks. Ty Meaders was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Oktaha. For Tahlequah, Oral Robberts commit RJ Pearson and Lebette CC commit Brandon Cobb combine to only give  three runs, one earned, but it wasn’t enough. Oklahoma commit Cayden Aldridge found himself on base three times with no official at bats thanks to two walks and an HBP.
