The 2017 Colorado High School season is in transition mode with some schools coming off spring break and others going on. Teams are positioning themselves with their last non-conference games before most will start league play in April. Here is a look at the latest action from around the state.
Daily Roundup:
Dakota Ridge 6 Putnam 2
The Eagles get another win and saw a big day from Ryan Stohr. He went 2-3 with 1 run and 3 RBI along with 7 Innings pitched giving up 5 hits and striking out 11.
Regis 3 Lincoln 1
The Raiders get the victory and were led by Brodie Marino who went 2-3 and Austin Chouinard who was 1-3 with 1 run scored.
Green Mountain 11 David Douglas 1
The Rams keep rolling and were led all around by J.D. Wadleigh. At the plate he had a 4-4 day with 4 RBI and on the mound he went 6 innings of no hit ball with 11 K’s.
Silver Creek 7 California 1
The Raptors were led on the mound by Dylan Ordway who went 6 innings giving up 3 hits, 1 run and striking out 5. At the plate, Max Browne went 2-4 with 1 run and 3 RBI.
Niwot 9 Horizon Christian 8
The Cougars win again and were led by Skyler Messinger who was 3-4 with 1 run and 3 RBI.
Heritage 8 McNary 2
The Eagles were led offensively by Arian Jimenez who went 3-4 with 2 runs and 3 RBI and on the mound by Riley Egloff who tossed 5 innings giving up 3 hits, 0 runs and striking out 8.
Valor Christian 11 Columbia 1
The Eagles get the spring break win and were led by Noah Kuzma who went 2-4 with 2 runs and 2 RBI.
Monarch 7 Lowell 1
Mitch Trenka and Roy Grigsby led the way for Monarch, Trenka went 3-4 with 1 run and 3 RBI and Grigsby went 6 innings giving up 1 run and collecting 8 K’s.
Pomona 15 Flowing Wells
The Panthers get the victory and were led by Logan Bistrup who went 5-5 with 1 run and 5 RBI.
Arvada West 4 Cholla 3
The Wildcats get the win and were led by Raul Villarreal who went 2-4 with 2 RBI.
Grandview 13 Victor Valley 6
The Wolves notch another victory and saw a big day from Tyson Hays who went 3-4 with 2 runs and 3 RBI and Peterson Ederhoff who was 3-3 with 2 runs and 2 RBI.
Legend 9 Libertyville 4
The Titans remain undefeated and were led by Jordan Stubbings who went 3-4 with 1 run and 2 RBI and Kyle Cardona who was 2-3 with 2 runs and 2 RBI.
Longmont 17 High Tech 4
The Trojans win big and were led by Dagin Renck who was 1-3 with 2 runs and 2 RBI.
